KeeprHusbandry

The husbandry library

Husbandry, done properly.

The keeping guides we wish we had found when we started. Reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates: the real parameters, where the animal comes from, and the mistakes that cost animals. Every sheet says whether a human checked it.

How we check

There are ten thousand husbandry pages. Most were copied from each other.

What separates a guide you can act on from one you cannot is whether it tells you where its numbers came from, and what it does not know. So that is what we publish.

Sheets a human checked

Verified is a state in the data, not a marketing word, and it is printed on the page. A sheet nobody has reviewed says so.

Guides citing their sources

Named and linked, grouped by how much weight they carry. You can go and disagree with us.

Numbers we invented

When a sheet gives one ambient range and no warm side, the page shows one band and says the rest is not stated. A half empty guide is honest.

Veterinary advice

Husbandry is keeper preference. Anything health shaped routes to a qualified exotic vet, never to a diagnosis from us.

Inside

395 guides across 24 groups, in Thai and English.

Each one carries the enclosure, the temperatures, humidity, UVB, diet, behaviour, reproduction, the health signs that matter, and when to stop guessing and call a vet. 173 more species are on our list with guides in progress.

The journal

The questions worth asking before you buy, not after.

The guides answer how to keep an animal. The journal answers which one suits you, what a morph really costs you later, and what to ask a shop.
